The World Weighs In: Mexico on Donald Trump

The Latino Community Unites Against Racism

In August of 2015 the Mexican governement denounced Trump. The following statememts were made:
“We continue to stand by our position that these comments reflect prejudice, racism or plain ignorance”
“Anyone who understands the depth of the U.S.-Mexico relationship realizes that those proposals are not only prejudiced and absurd, but would be detrimental to the well-being of both societies." - Source: The Guardian
This was after Trump announced his ridiculous immigration plans. Then, after months of Trump's rhetoric, and listening to him talk about the wall, (over and over,) the former president of Mexico made a statement. While interviewing with Fusion, Vicente Fox made a plea to hispanics in the USA:
“Please, you Hispanics, Latinos in the U.S., open your eyes. It’s not to defend our race...This nation is going to fail if it goes into the hands of a crazy guy,”
In addition, the former president put a dent into Trump's plan to make Mexico pay for a wall that will "bigger and better than the great wall of China."
“I’m not going to pay for that fucking wall,” Fox said.
The next day, Fox did an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN and he said that Trump reminds him of Hitler.

In addition to Mexico speaking up, I am happy to see that so many hispanics and latinos all over this country are standing up against Trump. People are protesting. There was the boycotting of Macy's, and the comic book above by Hector Rodriguez. The cover was modeled after the Captain America comic book when Captain America was punching Hitler.

And then there is this video from #DeportRacism2016
