"I hope you people are happy about what you did in Paris. I'd just like to state for the record that Allah is a piece of pork shit."Police & the FBI are investigating. Philadelphia Mayor-elect Jim Kenney released a statement:
"The bigotry that desecrated Al-Aqsa mosque today has no place in Philadelphia. The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection has a long history of coming together in the face of challenge. We cannot allow hate to divide us now, in the face of unprecedented difficulties. I ask all Philadelphians to join me in rejecting this despicable act and supporting our Muslim neighbors."There is a lot going on in our country and in the world. President Obama addressed the nation Sunday and urged Americans to keep the focus on ISIL. "We cannot turn against one another," he said.
That did not stop Donald Trump's antics, or the hate crimes against the mosque. Mayor Nutter is offering a $2,000 reward for information.
Donald Trump has called for a ban on all Muslims to our country. Which, basically means that he thinks the current administration is not doing a good job at protecting the American people. Mayor Nutter criticized Trump for his remarks calling him an asshole and comparing him to Hitler. "Donald Trump's comments are a threat to the moral security of the United States of America," he said.
Trump responded with a tweet:
Its all just a bit much. Obama is right. We should not turn against each other right now. There are lots of Americans in this country who are Muslim. Philadelphia has a large Muslim community. They pretty much do the same things as everyone else, they just have different religious and cultural beliefs. Some of the women cover their hair, some don't. Some cover their face, most don't. I'm sure they all wake up, shower & get dressed in the morning. They take their children to school and they go to work; men and women.
Small minded people will judge an entire race of people, or group of people, by the acts of few. This is why Trayvon Martin was killed by Zimmermann. These types of people live with a fear that their way of life will be jeopardized by people that aren't even thinking about them. People who are their neighbors. People who are innocent.
I cannot live in that kind of fear. I refuse to. I cannot let fear and anger consume me. Living like that can really change a person. (They may just become radicalized).
